Vela’s 1st Industry Night & Showbox After Party

Last Monday was not the best Monday to get things started since the Showbox was also hosting what I heard to be thier yearly industry night.  I was kinda bummed I didn’t get to go.  They were serving free drinks!  So it was either free drinks at the Showbox, or free pizza at some new place.   At any rate, a few friends and I played scrabble while taking turns on the wheels of steel (tip: scrabble is not the best game to play after a couple of tall boys).  After about an hour or so after the clubs owners left, they came back and raided the place with others who couldn’t get into the Showbox, locked doors and opened the bar.  Turned ouit to be a lot of fun!

This Monday, we have a few different DJ’s lined up, and looking towards having a successful recording session for our first podcast.  Be sure to come back a day or two later to listen.

Also, please comment on some ideas you would think would be fun for games.  We have some board games, and we also brought up a couple of game machines for the flat screens.  Chef Ray and I are looking to maybe start a beer pong tournament as well.  Please share your ideas and come down this Monday for $2 man cans of PBR, $3 wells and $5 AMF, LI, and Black Opals.
